Village Bicycle Project

Village Bicycle Project was founded in 1999 by Director David Peckham.  VBP  is a successful self sustaining and capacity building development project that gives people in Africa a tool to improve their lives by giving them access to affordable transportation.  Peckham was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Gabon and saw first hand the devastating burden of life in communities where people walk most places they need to go.

The Village Bicycle Project is supported by hundreds of volunteers world wide who collect and ship bikes for us. VBP depends upon and deeply appreciates their loyalty and hard work!
